My name is Carl Gilbertson and I am the president of Gil-Net Communications. I have over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, working with a major Canadian telecom company from 1980 to 1995. From 1995 to present I have been an independent telecom consultant. My speciality is in installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance support of digital switching systems, specialising in Nortel Networks equipment, especially the DMS/GSP line. I also have experience in transmission systems (fiber optic, twisted pair/co-ax, and radio), data, and IP. My work as a consultant has allowed me not only to learn exciting new technologies, but as I have had the opportunity to travel the world I have met many interesting people and learned about different cultures.
In 2001 I began searching for high quality, low cost telecom services to offer to the public. Thus this web-site was born. Quality should not be sacrificed by low price.
